Aqua-Net

The Aqua-Net system is designed in a way that it is only possible for an adult to remove the net.

Unique patented central tension system with float.

The net mesh of 80mm is an industry first. It is impossible for even the smallest toddlers head to fit through the opening

In the event of a child falling on the net, the child will be supported at the edge of the pool and will be unable to crawl forward on the net.

The special UV treated polyethylene braid has a breaking strain of 160kg per strand.

A toddler cannot crawl to the centre or climb under the net.

Aqua-Net has a 100% track record to date, with no reported drownings having occurred on an installed net.

There is no substitute for adult supervision. Never leave a child unattended near water.

Net Material
The material used in the construction of an Aqua-Net pool safety net is light but strong and is resistant to sunlight, water, acid and pool chemicals.
The material does not hold or absorb water.
High Density Polyethylene braid, containing an ultra violet inhibitor with a minimum breaking strain of 150 kilograms and a runnage of 200 metres per kilogram is used (colours - blue or black).
The braid has an expected life span of 8 years.

Net construction
The net is constructed in square mesh pattern (not diamond mesh pattern).
The size of the mesh is large enough to prevent toddlers from easily climbing/playing on the net but small enough to prevent a small child's head fitting through.
The knots of the netting are stretched and set and the netting is treated to prevent shrinkage when not on the pool.
The net is machine constructed from the above material with a square mesh of 80mm and will support a minimum of 150kg.
(N.B. it is important to note that covers made from flat solid material (PVC sheeting etc.) should not be considered as a safety device as water collects on top of the cover in which a child could drown).

Anchoring the net
The anchoring system used is made from material that does not rust and is resistant to water, sunlight, acid and pool chemicals.
The system does not clog with dirt and debris.
The distance between anchors is small enough to prevent children from being able to lift the net up high enough to crawl under the net between the anchor points.
A maximum distance between anchors is 750mm and fittings are made from grade 304 stainless steel or glass filled nylon which are available in Terracotta, Black, Beige and Grey.

General Information
Fish ponds and spa baths can be fitted with safety nets.
Pools with rock features, sun decks and even islands can also be fitted with safety nets.
The float used with our patented central tensioning system helps to maintain the net at an even height above the water level.

A specially designed Central Tension System is operated by eleven pulleys built into the net.
The Float keeps the net at a constant height above the water level, even if the water rises.
Supports the net toward the centre of the pool.
